Perfumed candles are lovely home accents that can trick the mind into believing one is in an exotic holiday destination and not in their living room. The scented candles add a touch of sensation to the mundane evening and bring the ambiance together. And so, Candle Day was started to boost the sales of every kind of candle ranging from the old favorites to the new entrants in the market.

The day, typically celebrated on the first Saturday of December, which falls on Dec. 3 this year, was initiated by American retailer Bath & Body Works which owns brands like Victoria's Secret and Abercrombie & Fitch. With an inventory that includes some popular choices like Winter Candy Apple, Vanilla Bean Noel, There's After Dark, Fa La La Latte, Snowy Coconut Frost, and many more, the company runs more than 2,000 stores all over the world, with 1600 of them in the U.S. alone.

The company also keeps updating its collection with regular holiday upgrades, each time surprising its loyalists with a new scent to obsess over. With Candles Day already here, below are some quotes about candles that will set your mood for the occasion: (Courtesy: A to Z quotes)
