Leonardo DiCaprio seems to have his sights set on 20-year-old model Cara Delevingne, but surprisingly, she does not seem to be interested. “The Great Gatsby” hunk has dated a slew of beauties over the years, such as Victoria’s Secret model Erin Heatherton and Gisele Bundchen. But apparently Delevinge is not interested in being next.

The 38-year-old actor reportedly kept trying to get her number while at the Cannes Film Festival, reports Life & Style. “Leo kept hitting on her at the ‘Great Gatsby’ bash at Cannes,” a source tells the magazine. “He even lunged at her at one point, and she dodged him. He was begging her to go back to his hotel room, but she declined.”

Eventually, the source said, Delevingne gave him her number.

Meanwhile, DiCaprio revealed earlier this month in an interview with “Good Morning America” that he almost passed on the role of Jay Gatsby in Baz Luhrmann's film. “I was reluctant. … What’s so powerful about this novel is everyone has their own interpretation of these characters."

He also spoke to writer Susan Griffin this month about playing the famous character on the big screen. “I do identify certainly with someone who’s manifested what he wanted [to become] as an adult and worked tirelessly and had such a great ambition to become that. The truth is my life is different from Gatsby’s. He is someone who has erased his past and all his connections to his humble beginnings so he could reinvent himself as this great oligarch,” he continued.

“While everyone wants to be part of his world and connect with him, the great tragedy, at the end, is that once he becomes tabloid fodder and people start investigating his past, no one wants to be attached to him. Nick remains his only real friend.” In contrast, DiCaprio says, he has “grown up with great family and friends” surrounding him.

The movie is currently in theaters.
