Cardi B clapped back after one Republican suggested that America needs more women like Melania Trump and less like her by making a reference to her recent song "WAP" with Megan Thee Stallion.

Republican firebrand DeAnna Lorraine recently took to Twitter and praised the FLOTUS for her speech at Tuesday's Republican National Convention. In her tweet, she made a comparison between Trump and Cardi B by writing, "America needs far more women like Melania Trump and far less like Cardi B."

"Didn’t she used to sell that Wap?" Cardi B replied.

The rapper's response referenced rumors that Trump used to be an escort when she worked as a model and posed for full-frontal nudes. The FLOTUS categorically has denied the speculations and said there is no evidence to support it.

Also, the first lady sued Daily Mail for libel over an article that repeated the claim alleging that she “provided services beyond simply modeling.” The tabloid issued an apology and retraction. Aside from that, Daily Mail paid Trump $2.9 million for settlement.

"We accept that these allegations about Mrs Trump are not true and we retract and withdraw them,” Daily Mail wrote on its website.

“We apologise to Mrs Trump for any distress that our publication caused her. To settle Mrs Trump's two lawsuits against us, we have agreed to pay her damages and costs.”

Meanwhile, Cardi B’s response to the issue received mixed opinions from Twitter users. Several agreed with her while many defended Trump.

"No that was you!” one replied to Cardi B’s tweet.

"No, that’s a total & complete lie. What’s not a lie is that you are absolutely destroying America’s youth with your lyrics and should be ashamed of yourself,” Lorraine added.

Meanwhile, several backed Cardi B and said they need more women like the rapper, who is empowered and has her own success story.

"America needs more women like Cardib who is a truly empowered woman, a success story, and writing her own future. Melania trump sold her soul to the nastiest POS out there....and I cannot imagine anything that would be worth that," a Cardi B fan commented.

"Nah we need more women like you and less women like her. You actually pulled some of us through this pandemic at least you gave some of your own money to help the American ppl, what she do fix a damn rose garden!!" another added.

On the other hand, another user wondered why of all the people it was Cardi B who was named in Lorraine’s tweet.

"Why are these people obsessed with you? Over 7 Billion people in the world and they decide to pick on you for what??" one asked.

"They’re frightened of women being sexually confident, perhaps of them being confident in any shape or form," user Luke Owen replied.
