Minutes after his client was found not guilty of murder, Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez declared there are no winners in the case, People.com reported.

I really do have mixed feelings over the whole situation, Baez said following the end of the trial in which Casey Anthony was accused of killing her two-year-old daughter, Caylee.

The seven women and five men that comprised the jury found Casey Anthony not guilty of first-degree murder or aggravated manslaughter in the 2008 death of her daughter. She was convicted, however, on four counts of providing false information false information to law enforcement, which are misdemeanors. It's possible she could be released from prison later this week.

Caylee has passed on far, far too soon, Baez said, and what my driving force has been for the last three years has been always to make sure there is justice for Caylee and Casey because Casey did not murder Caylee. It is that simple. And today, our system of justice has not dishonored her memory by a false conviction.

Baez also said the verdict should be a wake-up call for death penalty supporters, as Casey would have faced the possibility of it had she been convicted of first-degree murder.

The best feeling that I have today [is] I know when I go home my daughter will ask me what did you do today? And I can say I saved a life, he said.

As for his client's future, Baez said, I'm ecstatic for her, and I want her to be able to grieve and grow and somehow get her life back together.
