Celebrity chef Bobby Flay faced new allegations that he cheated on his wife, Stephanie March, with his assistant Elyse Tirrell for three years, the New York Post's Page Six reported Sunday. Flay’s representative, however, blamed the “Law and Order: SVU” actress for spreading the rumors.

Flay filed for divorce earlier this month stating that his 10-year marriage had “broken down irretrievably.” Page Six reported that Flay and March’s marriage ended because of the former’s affair with Tirrell. The 50-year-old’s representative addressed the allegations by saying that they "refrain from responding to the continued efforts by certain parties to spread rumors and innuendo."

"This specific allegation was in a letter sent from one attorney in this case to the other," the representative reportedly said. "It was written and then leaked specifically to try to insert this story into the press, and that's unfortunate. Even more unfortunate is that all of this is being done in order to renegotiate a pre-nuptial agreement that was agreed to over a decade ago and never amended during the marriage."

Tirrell is reportedly a singer and actress who worked as a hostess at Flay's Bar Americain in 2008 and later became his assistant.

“Elyse had always seemed so nervous when Stephanie came to one of the restaurants, and Stephanie, not knowing what was happening, went out of her way to compliment her and try to make her more comfortable,” Maia Madison, a friend of March, told Page Six. “Elyse had even been to Stephanie’s home when she was there -- and when she wasn’t.”

Flay's business partner Laurence Kretchmer defended him saying that none of the allegations were true.

"If she had an affair with Bobby it would have been reported to me. That has never even been suggested, and people like to talk," Kretchmer said, according to Daily Mail.

Flay and March's divorce turned into an ugly battle after the latter’s lawyers were disappointed that Flay is only paying her $5,000 a month in support payments, while her legal team values the restaurateur at $20 million. The couple agreed on the amount in a prenuptial agreement signed before they got married in 2005.

Correction: The headline and first paragraph of this story have been changed to reflect the fact that Bobby Flay's estranged wife, Stephanie March, is the star of the NBC show, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Flay, a celebrity chef, appeared on one episode of the show.
