Chicago Med
Natalie (Torrey DeVitto) makes a decision about her relationship on “Chicago Med” Season 4, episode 1. Elizabeth Sisson/NBC

The “Chicago Med” Season 4 premiere has finally arrived and it appears that there will be a lot of love lost when viewers reunite with their favorite medical staff. Not only will Ethan struggle following his fight with April, but Natalia and Will find their relationship on shaky ground following his shocking proposal in the Season 3 finale.

“Bekker (Norma Kuhling) takes drastic action to keep Rhodes (Colin Donnell) from leaving Med for good,” the synopsis for “Be My Better Half” teases. In the last season of the NBC series, Conner was disappointed when he asked Ava to take his job and she agreed instead of asking him to stay so they could be together.

When viewers are reunited with Connor he will be ready to leave Med behind for a better offer at the Mayo Clinic, but is it too late for Ava to realize he is already where he needs to be? Will she be able to convince Connor to stay at Med?

“Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) questions Manning’s (Torrey DeVitto) feelings about their upcoming wedding,” the synopsis for “Chicago Med” Season 4, episode 1 says. Will was last seen getting down on one knee and asking Natalie to marry him. The only issue, however, was that he proposed right after a terrible moment.

Natalie saw Will talking to a surgeon and realized it was the woman he kissed during their break. When Will finally caught up to Natalie, he pulled out his mom’s ring and asked for her hand in marriage, but she didn’t react the way he expected.

While spoilers reveal Natalie said yes to the engagement, it appears there will be some doubt about how serious she is about tying the knot. Will Natalie regret accepting Will’s proposal?

“Ethan (Ethan Choi) receives shocking news about his sister, Emily (Arden Cho),” the synopsis for “Be My Better Half” states. In the Season 3 finale, Ethan learned that Emily had Hepatitis A and wanted her to live with him.

As a result, April (Yaya DaCosta) thought it would be best to remove herself from his life. Forced to deal with Emily’s recovery on his own, will Ethan be able to get through his sister’s latest challenge?

Although April doesn’t want to get mixed up in Emily’s mess, would she be willing to look past her beliefs and support Ethan during his time of need?

“Charles (Oliver Platt) mourns a loss,” the synopsis for the NBC medical drama teases. In the Season 3 finale, Daniel suspected Sarah’s (Rachel DiPillo) father, Robert (Michel Gill) of murdering a college student. Daniel’s suspicions were confirmed with he discovered an item from the victim’s room in Robert’s apartment.

When Daniel decided to confront him, Robert’s heart gave out and the physician did little to save his life. Will Daniel regret not helping the dangerous patient?

“Chicago Med” Season 4 premieres Wednesday at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
