The love one finds during the Christmas season doesn’t always have to be of a romantic variety, which may just be evidenced in the newest Lifetime holiday movie, “A Christmas Winter Song,” starring Ashanti and Stan Shaw.

Music fans certainly know Ashanti, as the “What’s Luv?” singer was a staple on the R&B charts in the 90s and early 2000s, and has remained active with her career. Not only has she continued to release music throughout the years, but she has made a name for herself as an actress as well, starring in films like “John Tucker Must Die,” “Coach Carter” and “Resident Evil: Extinction.” She also had a role in the 2013 Lifetime film “Christmas in the City” as well. As for Shaw, he has had an extensive career in film and on the stage and is making his Lifetime holiday movie debut. He will also be seen in the upcoming Bounce TV film, “Greyson Family Christmas.”

So what will happen in this pair’s more heartwarming holiday flick? According to a synopsis, a special bond that also leads to a Christmas miracle for them both.

“Clio (Ashanti) befriends Fred (Shaw), a homeless former jazz singer down on his luck,” the synopsis reads. “They form a special bond over music, and Clio, having just lost her own father, helps Fred reconnect with his own daughter, just in time for Christmas.”

Naturally, the bond will have some ups and downs as time goes on, but in the end, will they both get everything they want, and maybe, everything they also need, for Christmas?

“A Christmas Winter Song” airs Saturday at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
