Niecy Nash is interested in doing another “Reno 911!” movie.

Shortly after The Hollywood Reporter published a story stating that Nash told them that a new “Reno 911!” film is in the works, the actress took to Twitter to correct the misinformation.

“Just to be clear I never said a ‘Reno’ movie is in the works,” the “Claws” star tweeted. “I said I’m BEGGING the gang to take one more run!”

“Reno 911!” is a comedy series that ran from 2003 to 2009 on Comedy Central. It’s a mockumentary-style parody of law enforcement documentary shows like “Cops” with comic actors playing the police officers. In addition to Nash who played Deputy Raineesha Williams on the series, “Reno 911!” also stars Thomas Lennon, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Cedric Yarbrough, Carlos Alazraqui, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Robert Ben Garant, among many others.

The series spawned a film, “Reno 911!: Miami,” released in 2007. In the movie, the deputies are called in to save the day after a terrorist attack disrupts a national police convention and locks over 2,000 police officers in a hotel in Miami Beach during spring break. When asked what the premise for the potential new movie would be, Nash told The Hollywood Reporter, “Do we need a storyline? We’re just gonna put on the uniforms and see what happens.”

Kenney-Silver, who co-created the series with Lennon and Garant, is up for a reunion. But given the busy schedules of the cast, the actress can’t really say when it’s going to happen.

“Last week, there was an email chain that went around saying, ‘Come on guys, let’s do another run!’” Kenney told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s really a matter of timing for us and when everybody is available. Niecy sent Tom and I a picture of a kiosk in a Walmart and I guess we’re big stocking stuffers this year because it was a display of our box set. We were like, ‘Maybe it’s time.’”

Lennon is also on board with the idea of doing another film. In fact, the actor replied to Nash’s tweet, saying, “I’ll trademark Re-boot-goofin’ just in case.”
