Fans of "Days of Our Lives" will have to take a day off from the Salem drama on Monday, Sept. 4, as the NBC programming schedule has been altered due to coverage of PGA Tour Golf.

According to the network's programming schedule for the day, there have been alterations to the lineup of shows to accommodate the coverage of the event, which is set to take place throughout the course of the afternoon.

Unaffected by the coverage are "Today," and various programming that runs in the usual 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. markets. In New York, that will include "News 4 NY at 11 a.m.," and "New York Live," at 11L30 a.m. Other markets will also vary in coverage at the 12 p.m. markets depending on the normal schedule.

In New York, the changes in coverage begin at 12 p.m., when "Days" usually airs. Instead, NBC will be airing the "2017 NBC Primetime Preview" during that slot, which will feature Tina Fey and the stars of 'Great News" as they preview the network's new and returning fall comedies and dramas. 12:30 p.m. will see a repeat of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," which featured former First Lady Michelle Obama as a co-host, Gold State Warriors' Stephen Curry as a guest, and a musical performance by Usher.

The PGA coverage will begin at 1:30 p.m. and air until 6 p.m., when coverage is slated to return to regularly scheduled programming.

The coverage of the PGA tour will be of the final day of the Dell Technologies Championship, which is taking place in Norton, Massachusetts.

The changes in programming mean that fans of "Days of Our Lives" will have to wait until Tuesday, Sept. 5, to see how various storylines will continue to play out on the soap.

During the most recent week of episodes, plenty of drama unfolded on the long-running NBC soap. Hattie (Diedre Hall) and Bonnie (Judi Evans) scrambled to cover their tracks after Angelica (Morgan Fairchild) suddenly died, and since then, they have both been working on their separate parts of the original plot they had worked on with her. Bonnie has moved into the Kiriakis mansion since "Adrienne" is now reunited with Justin (Wally Kurth), and has her eyes on landing Victor (John Aniston). Meanwhile Hattie still has Marlena (also Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn) locked away in a sanitarium, and is making progress on her plot to get revenge on Andre (Thaao Penghlis).

Meanwhile, the plan to finally take Raines (Aaron Spears) into custody for being Dario's (Jordi Villasousa) partner in his counterfeiting scheme seemed to finally hit a big break, after Dario reached out to Rafe (Galen Gering) and told him about some evidence he had that would prove Raines was guilty. However, the evidence was intercepted by Gabi (Camila Banus), and as she listened to a tape where Raines confessed to everything, he came up behind her. Now, she is in danger because he will do anything to protect his identity.

"Days of Our Lives" will resume on NBC with new episodes on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
