He was trying to find a way to get Hope back after she discovered a pile of money in his apartment and he couldn’t explain himself without coming off guilty for something. However, Ted’s attempt at heroics has now cost him his life—and someone unexpected will be the one who potentially takes the fall for his gruesome death on the Tuesday, August 6 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Hope (Kristian Alfonso) ended her brief romance with Ted (Gilles Marini) after discovering piles of money in his apartment, and after realizing he needed to do something big in order to win her back, he once again made an attempt to go to “Nicole” (Arianne Zucker) and convince her that they needed to team up against Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) to get her daughter back. Once again on the NBC soap, he was unaware that Kristen was actually the one he was talking to since she is impersonating Nicole, and after she finally revealed the truth to him, it became clear he wasn’t going to get out of this new situation alive, and as he and Tony (Thaao Penghlis) both struggled with a gun, a shot rang out.

A preview clip for the week’s episodes shows that one of them doesn’t survive—and that one happens to be Ted. However, Kristen won’t allow for either herself or Tony to be the ones who take the fall for their latest crimes, even as she risks being caught trying to clear her name.

“Kristen is caught trying to get rid of incriminating evidence,” spoilers reveal.

Even if she’s caught with some evidence, she will likely think quickly and make a move that keeps her safe from suspicion and allows for Ted’s death to be blamed on someone else entirely. Considering she wants revenge on Gabi (Camilla Banus), who managed to get the DiMera CEO position after marrying Stefan (Brandon Barash), she will likely turn her target towards the other woman, with the hope that she can successfully manage to hurt Gabi enough that she is forced to fail.

“Stefan finds himself on the hot seat,” spoilers state.

Since Gabi is too easy of a target and likely wouldn’t be easy to tie to the crime, Kristen may decide to go after her husband instead and continue adding to the charges he is already facing, since he was previously framed for both Ted and Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) kidnappings. Kristen likely feels that causing him more grief will affect his wife enough to screw things up for her as well, even though Gabi has used her new opportunity to finally reveal to Stefan that she had her own plan for revenge against him.

Still, despite getting what she wanted against him, Gabi will likely fall into some semblance of a trap that Kristen sets since she did also start to get feelings for the man she has since betrayed.

“Gabi feels guilty for betraying Stefan,” spoilers state.

If she starts feeling guilty and then learns he is also being framed for a murder, then Gabi could start risking everything to prove his innocence--which will give Kristen the opportunity to strike.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
