The coverage will continue until 2 p.m. EDT, preempting the 11:00 News, “New York Live,” “Days Of Our Lives,” and “Access Hollywood Live.” A normal Thursday schedule resumes at 2:00 with “Steve Harvey.”

These scheduling changes will also be in effect on Friday, June 9.

On June 8, fans of tennis will be able to watch matches including the Women’s Singles Semifinal between Simona Halep of Romania and Karolina Pliskova of Czech Republic. On Friday, matches to look forward to include the Men’s Singles Semifinal rounds between Andy Murray of Great Britain and Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland, and Rafael Nadal of Spain and Dominic Thiem of Austria.

The French Open coverage will mean that fans of “Days of Our Lives” will have to wait until Monday to find out what will happen with some big storylines that have unfolded over the last several weeks.

During the Memorial Day week broadcasts, fans of the show watched as Brady (Ericf Martsolf) died, following his heart from Daniel officially giving out when Brady’s body continued rejecting it after the trauma from being shot by Xander (Paul Telfer). However, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) had returned to Salem to see him after escaping from captivity in Greece. After he died, she placed her daughter with Daniel, Holly, on Brady’s chest, and the proximity of the child to Daniel’s heart created a miracle, with Brady coming back to life unexpectedly, and to the joy of his loved ones.

That feeling was cut short however after Nicole was forced to go down to the police station after she was arrested for kidnapping Holly from Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), who had legal custody of the baby. Chloe has thus far refused to drop the charges against her former friend.

Meanwhile, on this week’s episodes, the drama focused mostly around the castaways on a mysterious island, after their own flight back from Greece crashed. Chad (Billy Flynn), Gabi (Camila Banus), Lani (Sal Stowers), JJ (Casey Moss), Eli (Lamon Archey), Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Paul (Christopher Sean) are all stranded on the mysterious island. JJ and Lani discovered information regarding the mosquitos on the island, which carry Jungle Madness, a disease that is transmitted through their bites and can turn a person into a crazed murderer.

Since then, the group have all learned that Paul is afflicted with the disease after he was bitten. They learned about his condition after he both smashed a rock over Gabi’s head, and attempted to stab Eli with a knife. The group is now vigilant as they try to make sure Paul can no longer cause any more damage, though he presents a true danger to them all if he takes anyone by surprise and is able to kill them.

“Days of Our Lives” will resume on NBC with new episodes on Monday, June 12.
