  • It is a demon-slaying action game based on the popular manga "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba"
  • The game is set to release on PS4

Following the raving success of the series' first movie, the "Demon Slayer" franchise is ready to jump into the video games industry. They are coming up with a new game, titled "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan."

Here are the things that players should know about the upcoming game:

Release details

Aniplex and CyberConnect2, the teams behind "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan," are scheduled to reveal more details about the PS4 game on the Feb. 8 issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, according to Gematsu. It is highly likely that the issue will include features, gameplay and release details. Earlier this month, CyberConnect2's President Hiroshi Matsuyama said the game's development process is going well. The game will release on Sony's PlayStation 4 and is scheduled to arrive sometime this year.

Gameplay

The game's development process is spearheaded by CyberConnect2, the same team that introduced the "Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm" series. While it will be a demon-slaying and a versus-fighting action game, the developers are yet to reveal its gameplay footage. However, with CyberConnect2 at the helm, players might see a resemblance to the title's gameplay with the "Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm" series. There might be one-on-one battles with some sort of cinematic action like the one featured in "Asura's Wrath," another game from CyberConnect2.

Story

The plot of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan" would reportedly adopt some parts of the manga, which could be centered on the series' first season. It would be focused on Tanjiro Kamado, the neophyte demon-slayer who became one to seek revenge on the demon who slaughtered his family and turned his beloved sister Nezuko into a demon. Fans can most likely enjoy Tanjiro and Nezuko's journey as the former joins the Demon Corps.

"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan" will launch on PlayStation 4.
