KEY POINTS

  • The Sentinel can prime enemies for large chain reactions
  • Titans are great for providing cover and Overshields for team members
  • Void Titans can spec for both offense and defense

The update to the Void subclasses has opened up a wide variety of builds that players can roll with during their usual activity runs in “Destiny 2.”

Bungie shifted much of each class’ identities toward certain roles’ playstyles. The Titan class now serves as a proper frontline protector, giving out barriers and overshields while negating lethal damage with the new and improved Ward of Dawn.

The best part of the Void 3.0 update is the degree of freedom that it provides, and players can make some very impressive combos with the new aspects, fragments and exotics. Here are some suggestions on how to make the best Void Titan build in “Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.”

PvE Demolitionist Titan Build

This build focuses on wiping out large groups of red bar enemies through chain reactions from weapons and abilities.

  • Aspects
    • Controlled Demolition
    • Offensive Bulwark
  • Fragments
    • Echo of Expulsion
    • Echo of Leeching
    • Echo of Exchange
  • Exotics
    • Armamentarium/Heart of Inmost Light
    • Sunshot
  • Super
    • Sentinel Shield
  • Grenade
    • Axion Bolt/Scatter Grenade

With this setup, players will be able to clear entire rooms in seconds thanks to chained explosions from Controlled Demolition’s Volatile procs and Echo of Expulsion’s on-kill detonations. These two might seem redundant, but the added Volatile application from Controlled Demolition can lead to longer chains and more damage against tougher yellow-bar targets, especially if they are near weaker enemies. Thrown shields also apply Volatile and cause explosions upon scoring kills.

The rest of the build helps reduce the cooldown of grenades. Armamentarium is great for extra firepower, but Heart of Inmost Light is better in terms of consistency. Meanwhile, Sunshot will help players clear adds with even more explosions while their abilities are recharging.

Players who want to lean more into defense can replace Controlled Demolition with Bastion. This synergizes well with Ward of Dawn because it increases the recharge rate of the grenade if players have an Overshield. Chain reactions will still be possible because of the Echo of Expulsion, but they won’t be as large as the original build.

Lastly, cap these builds off with an Elemental Well setup with the following mods:

  • Elemental Ordnance
  • Seeking Wells
  • Elemental Charge
  • Heavy-Handed

Heavy-Handed will help reduce Shield Throw’s cooldown, leading to even more Volatile procs and detonations.
