Hollywood Reporter and Morning Consult conducted a poll from Dec. 3 to Dec. 4 to see what Disney+ subscribers were watching most and the results are here.

The poll used 496 self-identified Disney+ subscribers ranging from 18-years-old to over 65-years-old.

When subjects were asked “What are you watching most on Disney+?” it revealed that Disney classics were the most popular with 22%. “Star Wars” came in second with 21% and Marvel in third with 15%.

The least-watched content was Disney+ originals like “Encore” with Kristen Bell and “Noelle” with Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader with only 2% of subscribers tuning in. National Geographic was also low on the list with 3%.

Hollywood Reporter states that the low number of people watching Disney+ originals could be because there were only 10 original movies, specials or TV series available for people to watch when the steaming service first launched. The outlet adds that Disney+ will be raising the number of originals to 45 in the new year.

The poll then asked “How often do you watch the following on Disney+?” where subjects had to answer from frequently to never in every category.

Pixar was the most popular for this question with 38% of subscribers frequently watching. Disney classics had 37%, “Star Wars” had 33%, Marvel had 32% and National Geographic had 17%.

The outlet then breaks the poll down by age groups including Generation Z (18-22), Millennials (23-38), Gen X (39-54) and Boomers (55-79).

Generation Z are mostly streaming content from the Disney Channel like “That’s So Raven” or “Lizzie Maguire” and Pixar movies. Millennials are watching Disney classics and Gen X along with Boomers are watching “Star Wars” the most.

One thing in common with every age group was they listed the classic FOX show “The Simpsons” as a show that they’ve “never” watched on Disney+.

The most “frequently” watched are Pixar movies like “Coco,” “Cars” and “Inside Out.”

Disney+ has had stellar success since the service launched in November. It was reported on Dec. 11 to be downloaded over 22 million times and has 9.5 million active users every day. On top of all that, Disney+ was 2019's top trending search in the U.S. The streaming platform is expected to get even bigger when they begin their global rollout in 2020. This will include Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Latin America.
