His update outside Walter Reed Medical Center was supposed to provide more answers about President Donald Trump’s current status following his COVID-19 diagnosis and hospitalization, but Dr. Sean Conley appeared to leave the American public with more questions instead after speaking with reporters.

During Conley’s press conference, reporters asked several questions about the President’s health and the timeline of his diagnosis, which led to Conley either dodging questions entirely, or revealing information which suggested the President was sick earlier than initially believed. Among the things Conley said were that the President was doing better, and that his symptoms including a mild cough and fatigue have been improving, and that he had not had a fever for 24 hours.

However, he also became hesitant to reveal if the President had received any supplemental oxygen, and also made reference to the President being “72 hours into the diagnosis,” which would actually put the President at being diagnosed around midday Wednesday, before he traveled to Minnesota for a fundraiser and outdoor rally, and before he also flew to New Jersey for a fundraiser.

The White House confirmed the President’s diagnosis with a Tweet at 1 a.m. on Friday.

Following the conference, many took to Twitter to express frustration over Conley’s non-answers.

Others stated that it seemed as if the conference was meant to hide something, including whether or not the President had ever been on oxygen.

The President is still expected to be hospitalized for an undisclosed amount of time.
