Donald Trump and Melania Trump’s marriage has lasted for 14 years. And there’s one thing that the POTUS loves about his wife.

The FLOTUS’ low-maintenance demeanor has been welcomed by President Trump ever since they started dating. The first lady’s unique personality is one of the things that drew her husband closer to her.

During her previous interviews, the FLOTUS has also revealed that she’s not a nagging wife. President Trump’s friends and associates couldn’t agree more with Melania.

William Eubanks told Vanity Fair in 2017 that Melania doesn’t have any qualms about stepping back and letting her husband take center stage. Lisa Bytner, a PR expert, said that the FLOTUS doesn’t make waves.

“She speaks only when spoken to. She’s just very sweet,” Bytner said.

Meanwhile, the secret to Melania and President Trump’s lasting marriage may have been revealed. In the past, the FLOTUS revealed that she and her husband sleep in different bedrooms.

Even though this revelation caused netizens to speculate that the couple is not really in love, Vanity Fair claimed that this actually has something to do with one’s status symbol.

The National Sleep Foundation also revealed in 2015 that one in four couples sleep in separate beds. First Lady scholar Annette Dunlap told People that sleeping in separate bedrooms is a sign of affluence and privilege.

“It was kind of European thing. The idea of sleeping in the same bed together in the late 19th century and early 20th century was a symbol of poverty because you couldn’t afford your own bed or your own bedroom,” she said.

In related news, Melania is also focused on raising her only child, Barron Trump. She told People in 2016 that since her husband travels a lot, she needs to maintain some normalcy for their son.

The FLOTUS said that this also one of the reasons why she and the POTUS have different bathrooms at home.
