Drew Barrymore has made it clear that she is not returning to the big screen anytime soon. The actress, who is currently busy with her talk show titled "The Drew Barrymore Show," appeared on SiriusXM's "Radio Andy" show Wednesday to talk about why she wants to stay away from the spotlight.

"Are you thinking at all of making more movies, or are you just so firmly into this?" host Andy Cohen asked the 46-year-old actress. The actress smiled at him in response and said, "If I'm being honest, the answer is no."

"I don't want to be on a film set right now, but that could change when my kids are older," she told Cohen.

The actress shares two children, 8-year-old Olive Barrymore Kopelman and 6-year-old Frankie Barrymore Kopelman, with her ex-husband Will Kopelman.

"I stopped doing these when my kids were born because I've done it since I was in diapers at 11 months old when I started," she explained.

"And it was a no-brainer to me to put making movies on a back burner so that I could be present and raise my kids myself," she added. "I didn't want to be on a film set asking the nanny how the kids were. I was like, that is not my journey."

"And so when you step away from it, it's a lot less scary," she said. "And you know, I've started brands. I was able to write a book."

Barrymore returned to television in 2017 with the Netflix-original series "Santa Clarita Diet," featuring Timothy Olyphant, Liv Hewson, Skyler Gisondo and Natalie Morales in key roles.

"I was so knee-deep into mothering my kids I was like I don't know who I am anymore," she disclosed. "I think I went way too far the opposite direction and if I can't remember that I'm an individual with a skill set."

The actress returned to work after her kids were a little older and noted that the series, which ran until 2019, "really saved" her. She also reflected on her character in the horror-comedy and said that it was just "perfect" for her.

However, the actress made it clear that her talk show is the only thing her fans can look forward to.

Barrymore was last seen in the movie "Everybody's Fine," which was released in December 2009.
