Lifetime’s latest film follows a protagonist whose attempt to escape one horror only leads her to a worse one. “Dying for Motherhood” stars Emmanuelle Vaugier, Hannah Bamberg, and Josh Ventura.

“Tracy finds herself unexpectedly pregnant and broke,” the official synopsis for the film reads. “Convinced that she’s unable to raise a child and eager to escape an unstable boyfriend, Tracy puts her baby up for adoption and is matched with a wealthy couple who want her to live with them during her pregnancy. It’s a dream come true.”

However, as the trailer reveals, things take a turn when the couple becomes physically abusive towards Tracy and attempts to hold her hostage.

“...Tracy’s joy soon turns to horror as she discovers that the couple’s deep-seated neuroses put not only her but her unborn child in danger,” the description concludes.

In the film, Bamberg stars as Tracy McCann. Bamberg’s previous credits include her roles in “Snapped: Killer Couples,” “South Park: We’ve Been There” and “Gone Hollywood.” She will also star in an upcoming film titled “L.A. Rush” alongside Elijah Wood, Whitney Anderson, and Wesley Wong.

Vaugier embodies the role of Genevieve Parker. You may recognize the actress as Addison from “Saw II” or Mia from “Two and a Half Men.” She also appeared in “CSI: NY” as Detective Jessica Angell and in “Mistresses” as Niko. Her upcoming projects include the horror film “Don’t Look There.”

Furthermore, Ventura plays the husband of Vaugier’s character, Patrick Parker. Ventura notably appeared in “Cloak & Dagger” as Officer Lafayette and in “Queen Sugar” as Ben Harrison. His other credits include roles in CMT’s “Nashville” and Donald “Childish Gambino” Glover’s “Atlanta.”

“Dying for Motherhood” premieres Saturday at 8 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
