KEY POINTS

  • Elden Stars can be found inside an ant-infested cave in Deeproot Depths
  • Players must first defeat the Valiant Gargoyle in Siofra Aqueducts
  • The incantation deals heavy poise damage with its small projectiles

The Elden Stars incantation is one of the seven legendary spells that players can find in the game. Unlike their common brethren, the legendary sorceries and incantations tend to be more devastating at the cost of higher investment requirements.

As one of the legendary incantations, Elden Stars can decimate targets with a concentrated volley of holy energy. Players using Faith builds can make good use of this incantation to supercharge their ability to defeat tough targets or throw other Tarnished off-guard in PvP.

The Elden Stars incantation is located at the Deeproot Depths, inside a cave full of giant fire ants. To get to the Deeproot Depths, players must defeat the Valiant Gargoyle at the Siofra Aqueduct, which can be accessed through the upper level of the Deep Siofra Well. Players must defeat Starscourge Radahn first before they can access the upper level.

After arriving at Deeproot Depths, head to the Great Waterfall Crest Site of Grace. Go west of the grace, then follow one of the large roots that leads to a cave entrance by the northwest. Fight through the giant ants inside and go to the very end of the cave to find a corpse holding the Elden Stars incantation.

When cast, the spell creates a ball of light that slowly floats towards a targeted enemy while constantly spewing smaller projectiles. The small shards of light deal negligible damage, but they can easily break the poise of any target that tries to block the onslaught. On the other hand, the large projectile will deal much greater damage if it manages to hit its mark.

Elden Stars requires 50 FAI and two Memory Slots, and it drains 47 FP per cast. Additionally, this spell counts as an Erdtree Incantation, which unfortunately means that there are no seals that can boost its effectiveness. This makes sense since all other Erdtree Incantations primarily serve defensive purposes.

The basic Finger Seal makes for a reliable choice for players who want to use Elden Stars in their build thanks to its S-tier scaling in FAI when fully upgraded. Alternatively, the Giant’s Seal can make for a great choice.
