“Elementary” fans have probably not seen the last of El Halcon (Jon Huertas) yet.

In response to a tweet made by co-executive producer and writer Robert Hewitt Wolfe, Huertas revealed that he would love to return to the CBS series as El Halcon at some point in the future.

“@ELEMENTARYStaff I’d love to bring him back to life – let’s do this!!!” the 39-year-old actor tweeted.

Huertas made his series debut as smuggler and drug dealer El Halcon in Season 5, episode 2 of “Elementary,” entitled “Worth Several Cities.” In the episode, El Halcon hired Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) to track down who killed Rey Torres and three of his other men. Sherlock took the job, but in return, he asked El Halcon to give him the name of another drug dealer who had been selling heroin laced with fentanyl that had already killed 12 people including a woman he knew.

At the end of the episode, Sherlock found out that Wayne Vachs (Ron Rifkin) was the one behind the murders of El Halcon’s men. Although El Halcon was not able to kill Wayne to avenge the deaths of his men, Sherlock told Joan (Lucy Liu) that the smuggler and his group Mara Tres agreed to keep his distance from the crime-solving duo, allowing their lives to return to normal.

While live-tweeting the episode, Wolfe had nothing but praises for Huertas.

“Also, hello super-talented Jon Huertas. I loved him on #Castle and #GenerationKill. He’s also a really good guy. #Elementary,” he wrote on the microblogging site.

“I’d love to see El Halcon again,” he tweeted in a follow-up post. “@jon_huertas is so good. Also, very very busy. Lucky to get him for this one. #Elementary.”

In response to a fan question, Wolfe added: “I’d love to get @Jon_Huertas back if we find the right story and he has time. But he’s on ‘This Is Us’ now.”

Huertas plays Miguel on “This Is Us,” but since he isn’t one of the main cast members of the NBC series, it seems that his schedule can accommodate another guest appearance on “Elementary” in the future.
