Eric Trump, one of President Donald Trump’s sons, rushed into traffic to flag down an ambulance in order to help a woman who collapsed near a New York City subway station last week.

The incident occurred Wednesday, when Trump and his security details paused at the F train stop near 57th Street and 6th Avenue to help an unidentified women who had passed out. The location was a block away from the Trump Tower where he and his brother managed their father’s business.

However, Trump did not want to any praise for act of heroism.

“I’m glad we were able to play a small role in getting help for the woman on 58th Street,” Trump said, Washington Examiner reported. “We just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I’m especially grateful to the EMTs who took over. It was certainly my first time hailing an ambulance in New York City.”

One unidentified passersby, who witnessed Trump’s act, said Trump did not hesitate to run into traffic in order to try and stop an ambulance that was in the vicinity, almost colliding with a bike rider in the process.

“I watched as Eric looked up, spotted an ambulance slowly passing by on 6th, ran into traffic — almost getting hit by a bicyclist — and shouted at the ambulance to get its attention,” said the observer.

Although the witness could not be sure whether Trump had called the emergency services specifically to tend to the woman, or the ambulance happened to pass in the area, he said the urgency of the situation was apparent in his demeanor.

“Not sure if the ambulance had been called for or if Eric managed to hail one out of the blue, but in any case his sense of urgency was clear and he succeeded in getting the paramedics to stop and tend to the woman,” the observer added.

And the witness, who had no ties to the president, said Trump did not do it as a photo op as there wasn’t paparazzi gathered there to take pictures or a large crowd watching.

“I don’t know if anyone really noticed all of this going on, there wasn’t a crowd of people watching,” the observer said.

It was only after the paramedics had secured the woman that Trump and his security team left.

The incident reminded one of an alleged rescue back in 1992 that the president was involved in. Regarding the reported incident, the POTUS told news outlets he had stopped a mugger from beating up another person with a baseball bat near Ninth Avenue and 45th Street in New York. Despite his ex-wife Marla Maples advising him not to, he got out of his limousine to confront the mugger at the time.

“The guy with the bat looked at me, and I said, ‘Look, you’ve gotta stop this. Put down the bat,’” the president told the New York Daily News at the time. “I guess he recognized me because he said, ‘Mr. Trump, I didn’t do anything wrong.’ I said, ‘How could you not do anything wrong when you’re whacking a guy with a bat?’ Then he ran away.”
