  • Mia Khalifa shared a snap of a Tel Aviv building with lights displaying the Lebanon flag
  • Twitter users slammed  Khalifa for her post because Israel and Lebanon are at war
  • Several netizens urged the ex-porn star to educate herself and learn more about history

Mia Khalifa shared on Twitter a photo of a building from Tel Aviv reflecting the Lebanese flag following the Beirut explosion. Twitter users, however, came down heavily on the TikTok star.

Khalifa praised a photo showing a huge building in Tel Aviv using lights to display the flag of Lebanon. Muhammad Zoabi, the first to share the post, said it was an "act of solidarity with Lebanon and its people following the deadly explosion in Beirut." Zoabi added, "Solidarity is powerful," and Khalifa clearly agreed with the message because she shared it online.

"This is a monumental gesture. That, along with the humanitarian relief offer.... speaks volumes while Michel Aoun is silent," she wrote on Twitter.

However, Twitter users disapproved of Khalifa's move because Israel and Lebanon are in conflict, so they flooded Khalifa's post with criticisms. Some even urged her to learn more about history.

"I really do not understand. Now we must thank the invader and genocide for drawing the flag of Lebanon after destroying it? Just remember that they have not yet returned the usurped territories of southern #Lebanon !! #Beirut #Palestine #BDS," one commented.

"There is something called history pls get introduced to it and educate yourself," @rayyaannnnn opined.

"I was really rooting for you smh," @filmarmas wrote before adding, "Did you forget that they attacked lebanon multiple times? girl bye."

“Mia please educate yourself. we were all rooting for you man this is so disappointing,” @hopehorse_ added.

"A monumental gesture would be that they stop killing children in Palestine," @santiuh wrote.

"Man you just lost all my respect. This ain’t it, Mia. Educate yourself," @timawrites commented.

"Please educate yourself, Mia. This was not it," @HayeteKhara added.

"I supported you up until this tweet. how dare you," @bbypinkfairy wrote.

Other users also urged Khalifa to delete the post.

"No this aint it chief DELETE!" @dingdanget wrote.

"Mia delete it and get some help. Thank you," @BadelMouthwErteh commented.

Despite the backlash the ex-porn star received from her post, some fans still showed their love for her. Another also supported Khalifa's stand against Hezbollah.
