Things are heating up on the set of “Fifty Shades of Grey” this week. Just days after the films’ star, actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, were rumored to be shooting the series' BDSM “red room of pain” scenes, the duo was spotted filming a steamy scene in the Gassy Jack Square area of Vancouver Thursday.

In a photo obtained by @dannyimusic on Twitter, Dornan can be seen portraying his lead role of sexually sadistic billionaire Christian Grey, grabbing hold of his love interest, sexually inexperienced college graduate Anastasia "Ana" Steele (Johnson). According to a filming notification released by Grammercy Film Productions Inc., Monday, the scene in question comes straight out of the first E.L. James novel when Christian saves Ana from a rogue cyclist.

“The scene to be filmed is a ‘walk & talk’ with two cast members,” reads the notification. “They are then almost hit by a cyclist when they arrive at the crosswalk.”

While some lucky fans managed to get some shots (and even an exclusive behind-the-scenes video) of the actors filming the steamy sequence, the notification does indicate that the Vancouver Police Department planned be present during filming.

On Wednesday, the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film crew was spotted on location at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver filming what appears to scene the graduation scenes from the first book. According to a report from the Huffington Post, the Canada-based institution will stand in for the college protagonist Ana Steele attends in the books, the University of Washington.

“Fifty Shades of Grey,” which is due in theaters in Feb. 2015, first started shooting the highly-anticipated film adaptation of the best-selling E.L James erotica novel late last month. Johnson, 24, and Dornan, 31, shot the first scene of the franchise, the well-loved “coffee date” sequence, at an undisclosed location in GasTown District of Vancouver on Nov. 30th.
