Charlize Theron is undoubtedly one of the most well-known actresses in Hollywood. She endorses a number of brands, such as Dior, is constantly placed on lists for "Most Beautiful Women In Hollywood," and has won numerous awards for her acting chops. But with such accolades comes a lot of scrutinies, causing Theron to have to deal with and combat her fair share of rumors over the course of her career.

Is she a mean girl?

As friendly as Theron appears to come across in interviews, it is rumored that she is not as nice as she appears onscreen. Back in November 2009, for example, the Oscar winner was a guest on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" show and upon leaving, fans pleaded for her to come over and sign autographs. Many of them could be heard saying in this video that they waited all day for her, but she simply waved and ended up getting booed by disappointed fans.

Fast-forward five years, in 2014, fellow actress Tia Mowry was in the same gym class as Theron and approached her, but told InTouch, “She wasn’t very nice to me. I said, ‘Hi,’ and she actually rolled her eyes and said, ‘Oh my God.’”

Mowry added, “I wasn’t over-the-top. I know how to approach another celebrity. Charlize was just mean. I’m just being honest.”

Was Theron supposed to be in the cast of "Fifty Shades Darker"?

In 2015, there was a persistent rumor that Theron had been cast in "Fifty Shades Darker" as Elena Lincoln, a friend of Christian Grey's mother who introduced him to S&M when he was a teenager. But evidently, that was never the case. She quickly shut that one down and told E! at the time "I hadn't heard that one. Wow, I'm just learning so much about myself on this [red] carpet tonight."

Did Theron turn down the role of Wonder Woman?

There have been rumors since 2017 that the blonde beauty turned down the titular role of Diana Prince (aka Wonder Woman) in the hit film. The role ultimately went to Gal Gadot. Theron finally addressed the rumor on "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen earlier this month, explaining that she was actually offered the role of Wonder Woman's mother. (Gadot is just nine years Theron's senior.) Theron described the situation as, “the defining moment where I crossed over and I wasn’t fully aware of it.”

Are Charlize Theron and Brad Pitt dating?

Pitt and Theron worked together on a campaign for Breitling in 2018, leading to rumors that two of Hollywood's sexiest stars were dating. Last month, however, Theron told the Australian magazine Sunday Life, "I'm not really thinking about dating now. I'm single and I have a full life with my kids and my career." She has two children, August, 3, and Jackson, 7. But fellow actor Jamie Foxx has said the same thing for years and is just now confirming his long-term relationship with Katie Holmes, so, only time will tell.

Are Theron and Angelina Jolie feuding?

Though Angelina Jolie is the one who filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016, it was rumored that she and Theron were feuding over their alleged romance. But she said, again on "WWHL", "I don't know her very well, I know her from events, but always so lovely," adding, "We really don't know each other, we're not friends or hang out. But she's never been nothing but gracious and lovely and warm."
