Robbie Amell revealed that he had his first real one-on-one scene with Grant Gustin in his upcoming comeback episode in Season 3 of “The Flash.”

“I rarely get to have scenes with Grant,” Amell told Entertainment Weekly. “The only time he and I had a scene that was just the two of us, I was Stein at the time, I was pretending to be Victor Garber. So it was cool to have a real scene with Grant [this time around].”

Amell revealed that he also got to act with Danielle Panabaker in his comeback episode. “I can tell you that my scenes are with Grant and Danielle,” Amell teased. “And I may or may not be alive.”

Amell made his debut on the CW series as Caitlin’s (Panabaker) fiancé, Ronnie Raymond, in Season 1. Following the particle accelerator explosion, Ronnie — a former structural engineer at S.T.A.R. Labs — became half of the transmuted and conjoint metahuman, Firestorm. After adjusting to his new life as a human torch, Ronnie married Caitlin. Their marriage, however, didn’t last long as Ronnie met his demise in the Season 2 premiere after sacrificing himself to stop the singularity that was consuming Central City.

Twelve episodes later, Amell came back to the show as Ronnie’s Earth-2 doppelgänger, Deathstorm, only to get killed by Season 2’s main villain, Zoom (Teddy Sears).

The air date for Amell’s comeback episode is yet to be announced.

An all-new episode of “The Flash” airs on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Check out the synopsis and trailer for Season 3, episode 11, titled “Dead or Alive,” below:

“H.R.’s (Tom Cavanagh) past catches up with him when a bounty hunter with vibe powers named Gypsy (Jessica Camacho) arrives in Central City to bring him back to Earth-19 to stand trial for his crime. It turns out inter-dimensional travel is illegal on their Earth. H.R. surrenders but when Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) find out that H.R.’s only hope would be to challenge Gypsy to a fight to the death, they intercede and Cisco offers to fight Gypsy instead.”
