Earth-2 Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), a.k.a. Harry, will embark on an emotional journey in Season 4 of CW’s “The Flash.”

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed that Harry will realize that there’s something missing in his life next season.

“He’s a genius, and his daughter [Jesse] is safe, and she’s The Flash on Earth-3, and he’s one of those people who’s realizing that he doesn’t have a life,” Kreisberg said. “So Season 4 for Harry is really realizing what he’s missing in his life and what it is he needs to become a better, more complete person, and so he’s going to be going on a fairly epic emotional journey this season that is tied to The Thinker’s (Neil Sandilands) plan.”

While Season 4 is putting the limelight back to Harry, he may not be the only Wells that will appear on the show next season. Cavanagh said (via Comic Book Resources) at the San Diego Comic-Con last July that there could be “a different version of Wells” in Season 4. “I mean, there is stuff that’s involved with this season that we’re talking about how Wells might become a different version of Wells, but I think that’s a storyline too far from me to give up, but you’ll see it!” the actor said at the time.

Although Cavanagh remains tight-lipped about the new version of Wells he may possibly play in Season 4, the Canadian actor suggested that there’s no way he will be reprising Cowboy Wells, Steampunk Wells or Mime Wells next season.

“What I always hear from the fans is like, ‘So it’s going to be one of those guys that we saw for a split second — Cowboy Wells, Steampunk Wells, Mime Wells?’ And I’m like, ‘No, you don’t want [those] guys spitting all over the cortex, A). And B), you already did Tom Felton with the British accent, and you don’t want a mime,’” Cavanagh said (via Showbiz Junkies). “We’ll have to come up with something a little more inventive, a little more creative, a little different.”

“The Flash” Season 4 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
