With the series premiere of “What Just Happened??! with Fred Savage” Sunday night, Fox will have a new talk show on its hands, only it’ll be one with a slight twist.

Half comedy, half talk show, the new program is a real after-show about the fandom surrounding a very fake TV series called “The Flare.” Just like a normal after-show, only much more meta, there will be hosts, celebrity guests and visiting cast members from the “show.”

To start, “The Flare” is based on the also-fake novel series called “The Moon is the Sun at Night” by, you guessed it, not-real author TJ Whitford. “The book revolves around a solar event and its effects on Earth – specifically, the small, blue-collar town of Milford, IL – and slowly unfolds into a post-apocalyptic battle for human survival,” a press release reveals of the fictional show.

The half-hour Fox comedy/after-show will feature set visits to “The Flare,” sit-down celebrity interviews and chats with fans, and it’ll start off by showing a scene from the latest fictional episode of the sci-fi series.

Fred Savage (“The Grinder”) hosts the show with Taylor Tomlinson (“The Comedy Lineup”) as his co-host, while Best Coast is the house band.

Some of the celebrity guests viewers will see visit the after-show during Season 1 include Kevin Smith (“Jay and Silent Bob”), Rob Lowe (“The Grinder”) and Ken Jeong (“Dr. Ken”).

Meanwhile, the cast of “The Flare” is made up of Shiri Appleby (“UnREAL”), Guillermo Diaz (“Scandal”), Kevin Zegers (“Fear the Walking Dead”), Amy Acker (“The Gifted”), Duane Henry (“NCIS”), Tyler Ritter (“Arrow”), Kai Wener (“The Orville”), Sola Bamis (“Stitchers”) and Sprague Grayden (“The Following”).
