U.S. President Barack Obama "loves" HBO's "Game of Thrones." Just don't quiz him on what the names of the characters are. With dozens and dozens of characters on the drama, it can be hard to keep up with who everyone is on the show, and even the leader of the free world struggles to remember each name.

During an interview with Bill Simmons for GQ, Obama revealed that his favorite "Game of Thrones" character is Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage). When asked who he identifies with Obama said "the dwarf" because he couldn't remember the name of the character, which he said is often a problem for him when watching the show.

"The problem with 'Game of Thrones,' though is that I don’t remember the names of any of the characters," Obama said. "I remember the characters, so when I watch it, I know exactly what’s going on. But if you read a review of the show afterwards and they’re mentioning such and such, the only one I remember is Jon Snow, because I can pronounce Jon Snow."

In July, director David Nutter told Entertainment Weekly at San Diego Comic-Con that when he was around Obama, the president put his arm around him and asked if he really killed Jon Snow off on the show.

"I said, 'Jon Snow is deader than dead,'" Nutter dished. "I thought I was going to be sent to Guantanamo or something, but fortunately I’m here -- but he’s dead."

Snow's (Kit Harrington) fate is one of the biggest cliffhangers from Season 5. As the show heads into its sixth season, fans have been speculating what will happen with Jon Snow for months. It appears likely the character will be back, after he was photographed on the set of Season 6.

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 will arrive in 2016.
