It will be another day of reruns for “General Hospital” fans as the ABC Soap opera continues its preempted run ahead of the Labor Day holiday.

For the remainder of the week, viewers who tune into the daytime show will be thrust back into chaos and panic as the residents of Port Charles come face-to-face with Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). The deranged criminal wreaked havoc on the small town, and as a result, officer Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) life was left hanging in the balance.

On Thursday, August 30, the network will air an encore presentation of the Monday, January 29 episode of “General Hospital.” The rerun will continue to follow Nathan’s story as he fights for his life after trying to save his pregnant wife from Faison.

Over on Spoon Island, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) continue their search for Lulu (Emme Rylan), who manages to escape Faison’s trap with Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). The deranged villain left the women locked in the stables as poisonous gas filled the air.

Luckily, the two were able to find their way to the tunnels, where they met up with Dante and Sonny. While the ladies barely made it out alive, Faison will also have to fight for his life after being shot by Jason (Steve Burton).

When Nathan and Faison arrive at the hospital, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) is furious after learning the man who shot her husband will be taken into surgery first. While Griffin (Matt Cohen) assures her he will do everything he can to save Nathan’s life, viewers know his best won’t be enough.

Elsewhere in Port Charles, viewers learn that Peter (Wes Ramsey) is actually connected to Faison. It becomes clear that his choice to encourage Lulu to use the press to draw the villain out of hiding was made with ulterior motives in mind.

Earlier, at the Aurora office, it appeared as if Peter was attempting to save Maxie when he tried to diffuse the situation and ended up being shot by Faison. However, Peter was later seen alone in an alley ditching his bulletproof vest, revealing he knew much more about the criminal than he previously claimed.

New episodes of “General Hospital” are expected to resume airing starting Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 3 p.m. EDT.
