Although Michael and Willow thought their marriage would win them full custody of Wiley, Nelle refuses to go down without a fight. On the Thursday, May 21 episode of “General Hospital,” Nelle uses her time on the stand to gain sympathy from the court.

In the promo video for the ABC soap opera, the lawyer asks Nelle (Chloe Lanier) why she feels she deserves sole custody of Wiley (Erik and Theo Olson). “General Hospital” spoilers reveal Nelle gives the performance of a lifetime.

Nelle and her lawyer have been working overtime to make sure she wins full custody of Wiley, and it appears their hard work will win give them the upper hand in court. Although viewers are aware that Nelle convinced Brad (Parry Shen) to switch babies to cause Michael (Chad Duell) pain, she has been telling everyone else a different story.

Once the truth about Wiley’s identity was revealed, Nelle denied working with Brad to swap babies. Instead, she insisted she gave birth on the side of the road and passed out. When she awoke, she claimed she thought her baby was dead and was unaware Brad stole her child.

It appears Nelle will tell that same story to the court and attempt to gain sympathy for what sounds like a heartbreaking tale. Although Michael and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) took extreme measures to protect Wiley from Nelle, will her testimony cause their plan to backfire?

Elsewhere in the ABC promo video, Nina (Cynthia Watros) tells Jax (Ingo Rademacher) she doesn’t know if she should stand up for Nelle. “GH” spoilers reveal Jax pays Nina a visit.

Along with her sad story, Nelle also plans to have Nina take the stand as a character witness in the custody battle. Nelle is expecting Nina to sing her praises, but will Nina use her time on the stand to condemn Nelle?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
