George Clooney recently opened up about his wife Amal Clooney and their children. The actor praised his wife for the work she is doing as a human rights lawyer and also joked about the kids having her brains.

The Clooneys have been married for five years now. Speaking about his wife on “The Ellen Show,” the Hollywood actor said that she is “very, very English- very British,” People reported. He said their children appear to be picking up their mother’s accent and shared that he caught his son saying “zeb-ra” like Amal. “I’ve got to fix that,” George joked about his children’s accent.

“That’s not going to happen,” the actor said about his children picking up their mother’s British accent.

George also praised his children for being smart. “They obviously got my wife’s brains,” the actor joked.

Clooney joked that he didn't like his children being smart because he apparently “can’t keep up” with them. He also joked about having many “dumb relatives.”

In another segment of the interview, George praised his wife for being a part of a team that helped free two journalists in Myanmar. The actor revealed that his wife spent a year working tirelessly to free the journalists, which finally happened the night of his birthday dinner.

George on the other hand is currently promoting his new TV mini-series “Catch-22.” The show is about the “absurdity” of war. The actor had a motorcycle accident while filming the series, but he made light of that situation in his interview by saying that he used his “nine lives” in that accident. He and Amal later decided that he will no longer be riding motorcycles.

Ellen DeGeneres also had some fun with George by taking him to his former office bungalow that is right next to where “The Ellen Show” interviews are filmed. The actor spoke with the people at his old office, and DeGeneres got some funny paintings to hang on the walls there.
