If there's something strange in your neighborhood, it looks like you'll once again have someone you can call.

In just over three months, "Ghostbusters" will be back in theaters with a brand new team consisting of Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon) and Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones). After months of build up and set photos, the first trailer for the reboot was released Thursday morning by director Paul Feig.

At first look, the film appears to have made good use of improved technology since the '80s, which has led to some very creepy looking ghosts. Fans also got to see what the new team of scientists is like in action with their upgraded proton packs. Aside from improvements, the trailer pays tribute to the original films with moments sprinkled throughout the trailer. Here are six moments from the trailer where the new film paid homage to the original "Ghostbusters" movies:

1. The Old Firehouse

In the opening moments of the trailer, a shot of the original "Ghostbusters" headquarters is shown. The team's main location was an old firehouse in New York City, but in the trailer it looks like it's gone back to being a firehouse.

2. Investigating A Library

One of the first cases the Ghostbusters took on in the original film took place in a library. A ghost of an old librarian terrified the group when she turned into a creepy looking monster. In the trailer, Gilbert, Yates and Holtzmann are shown talking to an apparition in the library before it throws up ectoplasm all over Gilbert.

3. Ghosts In The Subway

In "Ghostbusters II," the team had to stop negative charged pink slime from ravaging the city. The pink slime was first shown flowing in a river near an abandoned transit line. Tolan was on train tracks in the trailer, looking at an underground army of ghosts all gathered together.

4. The Ecto-1

The Ghostbuster car might be new and improved in the 2016 film, but the outside look of the car is very similar to the original. The Cadillac is painted white with red stripes and of course has the signature Ghostbusters logo on the front and passenger side doors. However, in the new film it looks like the vehicle was first a hearse, while in the original it was a 1959 Cadillac professional chassis.

5. Slimer

One of the most recognizable ghosts the team had to deal with was the green blob known as Slimer. Slimer was in the first two films and was always shown eating. It looks like the blob will be back for the reboot after he was shown briefly flying away.

6. A Ghostbuster Possession

In the new film, ghosts will be able to possess people. Yates is shown going under the control of a ghost and the team fights her to get the ghost out. Eventually, Tolan is able to slap the ghost out of Yates. Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) gets possessed by a ghost in "Ghostbusters II" after staring at a painting. He then has to be slimed by Venkman (Bill Murray), Egon (Harold Ramis) and Winston (Ernie Hudson).
