Halloween comes early in Fox’s new supernatural sitcom “Ghosted.”

According to the synopsis for Season 1, episode 2 of the Tom Gormican-created series, Leroy (Craig Robinson) and Max (Adam Scott) take Jermaine (Ethan Drake Davis) trick-or-treating, even though Jermaine hopes they’ll drop him off at a party instead. The party, however, becomes the least of their concerns when Jermaine is infected with a zombie-esque virus by a demon cat.

While the effects of the virus remain to be seen, the trailer for the episode reveals that Jermaine starts to behave wildly after contracting the virus. At the end of the promo clip, Jermaine is actually seen trying to bite Leroy as his ex-professor partner Max tries to figure out how to put the infected kid down.

Jermaine is the son of Leroy’s former partner at the LAPD, and based on their interactions in the series premiere, it’s apparent that Leroy has formed a close relationship with Jermaine since his dad was killed on the job.

In fact, moments before Leroy was abducted by the Bureau Underground, Leroy gave Jermaine a gift for his birthday. “Your dad and I spent 15 years together on the LAPD before I started working at this disgusting mall, and he always told me his dream was for you to go to college,” Leroy told Jermaine, before handing him an SAT prep course book.

As expected, the 12-year-old was disappointed with the gift he received. That disappointment, however, soon turned into excitement when he found out that there’s actually a video game hidden within the book.

Elsewhere in the upcoming episode, LaFrey (Ally Walker), Amber (Stevens West) and Barry (Adeel Akhtar) have a busy Halloween night as they deal with several paranormal activities at the Bureau Underground.

As revealed in Season 1, episode 1, Lafrey is the head of the Bureau Underground; Amber is a tech specialist/weapons expert, while Barry is the resident doctor of the secret agency.

Aside from Davis, Tisha French and Stephanie Cood also guest star in the upcoming episode as Rose and Lindsay, respectively.

“Ghosted” Season 1, episode 2, titled “Bee-Mo,” airs on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 8:30 p.m. EDT on Fox.
