The villains of Gotham City will be teaming up to cause trouble in the second half of “Gotham” Season 4. FOX

Things are about to get pretty messy in Gotham City now that the villains will be teaming up.

David Mazouz, who plays the young Bruce Wayne in the Fox show “Gotham,” told Comic Book that the friendship of Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) and Jerome Valeska (Cameron Monaghan) will bring together the worst of the worst in the city.

“Oh yeah, that basically is the second half of Season 4.” Mazouz said. “Essentially all of the villains on the show, all the terrifying ones at least, will team up. It will basically be the Justice League of Gotham villains. They’re gonna basically terrorize the city over the next 11 episodes.”

Because of their number, all the good guys have to set aside their personal grievances and work together just to bring peace to the city.

“All the good guys are gonna have a part in taking them down, because there are just so many of them. Of course it’s spearheaded by the man that posted it himself, Jerome,” continued Mazouz. “Everybody is involved, somehow, in this massive fight against this band of villains. It’s so cool. I loved every single time I got a script these past couple of months. It’s so cool, the idea of everybody teaming up like that.”

It remains to be seen whether or not Sofia Falcone (Crystal Reed) will side with this new group of villains or remain ambiguous. But one thing’s for certain - Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) is going to do everything in his power to take her down.

In the promo for “Gotham” Season 4, Episode 12 entitled “Pieces of a Broken Mirror,” Gordon confronts Sofia just to show that he isn’t afraid of her. “If I go down, so will you,” he tells her.

But Sofia seems unfazed by the threat. “You still think you know what I will and won’t do,” she replies.

Even Dr. Leslie “Lee” Thompkins gets involved in the crosshairs, since she is seen being held back by two goons. “I’ll be coming for you, b**ch,” she appears to be telling Sofia.

Several scenes also feature Jerome and Oswald beating each other up before sharing a laugh. “We’re going to have so much fun together,” Jerome tells Oswald.

The promo also offered the first look of the new Ivy Pepper (Peyton List), who teases Bruce as “billionaire boy” before kissing him.

It was surprising why the role of Ivy was once again recast from Maggie Geha to List, but executive producer Bryan Wynbrandt explained: “The change was all based on the idea that she’s continuing to evolve to become more of the Ivy from the comic books and what we really enjoyed.”

“Gotham” Season 4 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
