Makenzie Philips was interviewed in the Today Show this morning where she spoke about her incestuous relationship with her father.

She wants the world to know that her father was not a bad man she rather described him as a very sick man.

She admitted that it was very difficult to reconcile the decade long incestuous relationship she had with her father for over a decade with who she is today.

He didn't set out to hurt me, the former One Day at a Time child star, 49, told Meredith Vieira on Thursday's Today show. He did the best with what he had. He was a damaged guy.
