KEY POINTS

  • Princess Diana has been named the most beautiful royal of all time
  • Queen Rania of Jordan and Grace Kelly claimed the second and third spots, respectively
  • Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton rounded off the top five

Apart from being one of the most adored royals of all time, Princess Diana is always remembered for her serene beauty. Now, almost 23 years after her death, Prince Charles’ ex-wife has been declared the “most beautiful royal of all time.”

Dr. Julian De Silva, a London-based facial cosmetic surgeon, has picked Diana’s face as the one that comes closest to perfection based on the “Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi Standard.” The technique defines beauty in line with classic Greek calculations. The measurements of facial proportions are concluded by the standards that Greek scholars applied while trying to exemplify beauty by scientific formula.

According to Daily Mail, the late Princess was found to be 89.05% accurate to the Golden Ratio measurements. Diana’s eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, jaw, chin, and facial shape were measured, and the results turned out to be in her favor as her face was closest to the concept of the perfect face.

Speaking with the media outlet, Dr. De Silva noted that all three women of the Royal Family – Diana, Meghan Markle, and Kate Middleton – are beautiful. However, he revealed that when their faces were measured against the Golden Ratio, Princess Diana came out as a clear winner. The findings also indicated that Prince Charles’ first wife had the highest overall reading for her nose base, which got a score of 96.6%.

“Diana, [Duchess] Meghan and Kate [Duchess Catherine] are all very beautiful women. But when measured against the Greeks’ Golden Ratio of physical perfection, Princess Diana comes out on top. She was several points ahead of Meghan and Kate,” Dr. De Silva told the publication.

Queen Rania of Jordan claimed the second spot on the list with a ratio of 88.9 according to the parameters. Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco, is at number three with a score of 88.8% while Markle (87.4%) and Middleton (86.8%) claimed the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
