"Homeland" airs Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT on Showtime. Showtime

Carrie Mathison’s (Claire Danes) relationship with her lead source, Aayan Ibrahim (Suraj Sharma), will reportedly heat up on next Sunday night’s new installment of “Homeland” -- much to the dismay of her real love interest, Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend). According to the Showtime’s synopsis for episode 5, Carrie will continue her seduction of the “frightened” drone strike survivor in “About A Boy” following the discovery of terrorist Haissam Haqqani’s survival.

“If you walk out that door you will disappear,” Carrie tells Aayan in a promo for episode 5 following their safe house romp in episode 4. “There is a rumor going around that your uncle wasn’t killed in the attack.”

Despite footage of Aayan embracing Haqqani, he denies his uncle's survival following the drone strike aided by the U.S. in the Season 4 premiere.

“That’s not what happened,” Ayaan says. “I saw his body. He was there!”

Despite their initial disagreement over Haqqani’s survival, Carrie appears to reconnect with her asset in a later clip, a shot showing the duo hugging inside the safe house. Unfortunately for Carrie, her closeness to Aayan comes at a price for her speculated romance with Quinn.

“Manipulating people, exploiting their weakness. It can get ugly sometimes ... Why don’t you tell me then just what it is you’re doing in there?” Quinn asks Carrie in the promo.

“I’m recruiting someone,” Carrie tells him.

“That’s bulls--t” Quinn responds.

With Carrie busy trying to gain intel from Aayan, her secondary team in Islamabad, Quinn and Fara Sherazi (Nazanin Boniadi), will work together to stake out a new suspect, according to Showtime’s synopsis. A sneak peek for episode 5 reveals that Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) will also find success in the field after stumbling upon Farhad Ghazi, the man thought to be responsible for the death of CIA chief Sandy Bachman, trying to flee Pakistan.

“Quinn, I’m at the airport. I’m looking at Farhad Ghazi as we speak. He’s at the gate about to board a plane for Johannesburg,” Saul says. “I presume we still have some warm bodies in South Africa who can pick up his trail there.”

Season 4 episode 5 of "Homeland" will air Sunday, Oct. 26, at 9 p.m. EDT on Showtime.
