Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show” is filled with massive celebrities, but some cast members aren’t quite household names yet. Victoria Tate plays Rena Robinson alongside Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston in the streaming series, and she revealed that Aniston immediately made her feel welcome on set.

“I remember Jen, on my first day, I didn’t know whether to shake her hand or not,” Tate recalled to International Business Times while on the “Morning Show” red carpet in New York earlier this fall. “She said, ‘Your audition was so great,’ and it immediately made me feel like I belong here, and it was so great to feel that way, in the beginning especially. It just carried me through to the end, you know?”

The actress, who has a background in theater and independent film, said that Aniston’s compliment “meant the world” to her.

Tate’s Rena is the assistant to Mark Duplass’ Chip Black, which Tate said was a highlight. “It was so wonderful to be able to do most of my scenes with Mark because he’s so fun to act with and we just hit it off almost immediately so it was very natural and easy,” she said.

Rena appears in Friday’s finale, but that won’t be the last audiences see of her on “The Morning Show.” Tate said that audiences might learn more about her character in Season 2, which has already been ordered.

“[Aniston] did say, recently, to me personally, she said ‘I’m very excited about next season because we’re really gonna explore your character.’ So that filled me with so much hope and excitement,” Tate shared with IBT. “She is one of the executive producers, so if she says it, then it might actually happen.”

“The Morning Show” Season 1 finale is available now on Apple TV+.
