Meghan Markle did something to win back Queen Elizabeth II’s trust after her lavish baby shower.

Earlier this year, the Duchess of Sussex was slammed by netizens for her outrageous baby shower in New York. Many deemed the celebration as something “celebrities” do, with some saying it was not a “royal” thing.

A few weeks ago, Markle returned to the Big Apple to watch her pal Serena Williams play at the U.S. Open finals, but her trip was not the same as her last visit. Markle tried to keep her visit low-key. The duchess was reportedly told by the palace to not go out partying in New York City and Rob Shuter said that Markle is “finally following the royal rules at least for now.”

“Sources tell me after that ‘disastrous’ $2000 baby shower with everything but a red carpet, Meghan has been advised to ‘dial it down a few notches’,” Shuter told iHeartRadio.

“This trip was the opposite of the last trip to New York City, Meghan did not stay in a fancy hotel and she did not go out after the tennis match with Serena and her family. Instead Meghan kept a really low-profile, with the exception of going to a yoga class, naturally.”

Shuter pointed out that Markle was “invisible.” True to it, Markle managed to visit her friend Daniel Martin on his birthday without any reports about it. She also boarded her flight without any photos taken by the press.

“The tennis match, she as invisible, Meghan is starting to listen to the royal advisors and wants to prove to the Queen that she can be trusted to travel outside the UK without her husband Harry. Now she realises that fighting with the family is a position that will only mean she loses. Meghan, you got that right,” Shuter added.

Meanwhile, due to Markle’s low-profile visit to New York, her fans accused Prince William and Kate Middleton of being “ attention-seekers.” One supporter of Markle pointed out how the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were photographed when they took a budget flight to Scotland. The netizen said that Markle also boarded a commercial flight, but unlike the Cambridges, she didn’t inform the press, so there were no photos taken when she boarded a budget airline.
