Meghan Markle won over Queen Elizabeth II through her husband, Prince Harry.

There are rumors that the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex are involved in a feud. However, despite the reports, Markle maintains a good relationship with the Queen. According to Tom Sykes, a journalist for Daily Beast, the former “Suits” star won over the monarch through the Duke of Sussex.

Queen Elizabeth II reportedly had a soft spot for Prince Charles’ youngest son, much like her favorite child Prince Andrew, which irritated the Prince of Wales. The Duke of York has been given a free pass despite his embarrassing scandals, and Prince Harry is experiencing the same treatment from the monarch.

Queen Elizabeth II reportedly made allowances for Prince Harry because she knew how hard he took Princess Diana’s car crash and death. Also, Prince Harry would not be the next king like his brother Prince William, so this gave him more leeway to enjoy a more relaxed relationship with the monarch.

E! News royal correspondent Melanie Bromley also observed the same. According to her, Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth II’s relationship is “a lot more fun and grandson-to-grandmother.”

Although Queen Elizabeth is also very close with Prince William, her relationship with Prince Harry is very different. In fact, many believed that between the two, the Queen’s favorite is Prince Harry.

Back in 2017, Markle spent the holidays with the royals. She was the first royal fiancée to have the honor of celebrating the season with the royal family. Middleton only joined them on the same occasion after she married Prince William.

According to an insider, Markle was invited because Prince Harry asked the Queen. The former “Suits” star has no other family members in London. The monarch didn’t hesitate to say “yes” to her grandson’s request because she can’t really say “no” to him.

In addition, there was reportedly a time when Prince Harry wanted to leave his royal life. He was at a point when he was ready to give up all his rights and privileges as a royal, but Queen Elizabeth II convinced him to continue his royal life and duties by forgiving him and Prince Harry complied.
