Some members of the royal family may not have the most pleasant feelings about Donald Trump, but a lip reader has revealed that regardless of any personal feelings, the U.S. President and his wife, Melania, were warmly welcomed by the UK’s most famous family.

The President and First Lady have embarked on a state visit to the UK that was met with some concern by people who don’t approve of the U.S. President, but as they landed in Great Britain and arrived at Buckingham Palace, they didn’t face animosity from Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles or Duchess Camilla, whom lip reader Tina Lannin of 121 captions reveals all presented them with a warm greeting.

Lannin told Express UK that not only did the Queen warmly tell Melania that is was “nice to see” her again, but that as Prince Charles greeted the President, he did so as if he was seeing an old friend again by asking him “Are you doing well, Donald?” As for the Duchess of Cornwall, who has made headlines for a wink she gave, she also kept things cordial and pleasant, saying it was “Nice to meet you.”

The greetings came as many wondered how the President’s visit would be received, considering Prince Harry’s wife, the Duchess of Sussex is known to have dislike for him. However, due to her maternity leave after welcoming her son, Archie Harrison, last month, she was excused from having to meet with the President during his visit.

As for her husband, Prince Harry, who has been criticized for reportedly coming off as rude to the President, reasons for why he and Prince William might be hesitant to warmly greet the President stem back decades, as the U.S. President previously made comments about their mother, Princess Diana, where he admitted he felt he could have had a relationship with the Princess of Wales if he tried.

In addition, it was revealed after her death that Trump had also actively pursued the Princess of Wales and that his actions towards her “gave her the creeps.”
