The Losers Club and Pennywise are back in the first trailer for “It: Chapter 2.”

In the sequel to the 2017 hit “It,” fans get their first look at the adult cast joining the film to take on the roles of the Losers Club that has returned to Derry, Maine. Jessica Chastain’s Beverly is the first one to greet the screen, returning to her old home that is now occupied by what appears to be the kind Mrs. Kersh.

But while Beverly admires an old postcard with a poem another member of the club wrote her, it’s clear that something is not quite right with the home’s current resident.

From there, the trailer flashes to scenes introducing the rest of the Losers Club, played by James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Jay Ryan, Isaiah Mustafa, James Ransone, and Andy Bean. Fans also get a good look at Pennywise, who appears to have made a full recovery.

Much like the first film, the trailer is able to instill a level of unease in the audience that is clearly sitting in the minds of the adult Losers Club. Whether its images of Georgie still sitting in Bill’s mind or when Beverly is being engulfed in blood like when she was a child, Pennywise still holds a place in their minds.

And while the trailer shows plenty of visuals and helps set the mood, there are still plenty of questions about how the second half of the Stephen King classic will be adapted. Will Henry Bowers still hunt the adult Losers Club? How long has Pennywise been back hunting the children of Derry? How has their first encounter with Pennywise shaped the Losers Club as adults?

“It: Chapter 2” releases in theaters Sept. 6, 2019.
