Ivanka Trump is, undeniably, one of the most followed women today. Aside from being President Donald Trump and Ivana Trump’s daughter, the mom of three is also known for serving as Senior Advisor to the POTUS since 2017. Recently, Ivanka sparked fury after she retweeted an article about her work on affordable child care and family leave.

USA Today shared a report about Ivanka’s “marquee issues” on its official Twitter account. The first daughter reposted it and got mixed reactions from netizens. Avid followers of the America businesswoman praised Ivanka Trump for exerting efforts to address these concerns.

“Beloved Ivanka Trump. May God bless you and keep you, and make His face to shine upon you, and give you peace! Elated Sabbath of rest for you and yours!” Asier Lancho Diego wrote. “Thank you for your work and dedication! Have a blessed day! Praying for you!” Jane Rowland commented. “Ivanka could have been shopping this whole time but instead has spent her time helping others and dems hate her.....” Brian Rawson stated.

Of course, critics, as per usual, took the opportunity to admonish Ivanka Trump and her father’s administration. “The queen of self promotions want us to believe she worked on this too...(quietly)..like those PR leaks about how she is a "moderating influence" on Donald #unwantedivanka #duplicity,” one netizen responded. “More propaganda from #QueenNepotitti about how hard she is working to “give” me parental leave by letting me BORROW from my future social security benefits - which I can pay back when I am old and broke by getting less!! #GriftingByIvanka,” Suzanne Coe said. “Three years and nothing,” Dave Dickson stated.

Ivanka Trump revealed to USA Today some details about the deferment in passing affordable child care and paid family leave. The publication learned that one of the hindrances that prevents the passage is the fact that most Americans have not been moving towards blurring the gender stereotypes and still believe that having a mother taking care of the children at home is important for a family. Add to that the influential business groups who are not in favor of the idea.

Despite this, Ivanka Trump is pleased that her “marquee issues” are now being discussed unlike before. “It's a travesty that we are the only country in the developed world without a policy to support parents and families,” Melania Trump’s stepdaughter stated. “It's an area that we just needed to do better, and we fought to do better,” she continued.
