J Balvin is one of the best-selling Latin artists of all time and has amassed a multimillion-dollar fortune so far in his career. And the Colombian reggaeton singer’s mansion appears just as impressive as his massive fortune.

Celebrity Net Worth reported that the 35-year-old Latin superstar, whose real name is José Álvaro Osorio Balvin, has an estimated net worth of $16 million. Balvin has sold more than 35 million singles and 4 million albums worldwide as of 2019.

Given his influence and fame, one can assume he lives lavishly in a mansion worth millions of dollars. And as the video of his house tour shows, the Colombian singer’s tastes in design and aesthetics are also off the charts.

Balvin put considerable thought into making his home his own place of relaxation and calmness. The property is heavily influenced by “Japanese-inflected decorative restraint,” Architectural Digest noted.

Balvin built his home in Colombia with the help of design firm 5 Sólidos. Inside, it has natural lighting and wooden panels all over. The minimalist look also incorporates nature every chance it gets — after all the property is situated in a jungle far from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The walk-in closet, filled with clothing and a sneaker collection estimated to have about 850 pairs, is perhaps the only thing his house has in common with those of other popular musicians.

Several bonsai trees, which he claims are 100 years old and imported from Japan, accentuate his swimming pool. The place infuses art pieces to contrast the architecture muscles in the hospitality arena. Balvin has three KAWS sculptures, a Takashi Murakami floor cushion and a Whisbe sculpture to add color to his personal space.

He does not drink alcohol and no TV can be seen in his house. In the video of his house tour, he said he loves to host his family and have a barbecue beside the pool.

In his garage, there is only a Land Rover Defender and several motorbikes that he fancies. The 35-year-old admitted that collecting several high-end cars is just not his thing.

Meanwhile, the singer debuted his first album, “Real,” in 2009. He followed it up with “El Negocio” in 2011, but it was his third offering, “La Familia” in 2013 that made him a household name.

Balvin's 2016 album, “Energia,” cemented his status as one of the most prominent Latin artists of his generation. He topped the charts with different songs and has had collaborations with big artists since. Balvin was featured in Robin Thicke and Pharell Williams' "Blurred Lines," and more recently, collaborated with Cardi B and Bad Bunny for "I Like It." Both songs became international hits.

Aside from putting out chart-topping hits, Balvin has also bagged two Latin Grammy Awards and an MTV Europe Music Award.

However, the singer's latest collaboration is outside the music studio. McDonald’s released a “J Balvin McDonald’s Meal” after its previous collab, the “Travis Scott Meal.” According to Vulture, Balvin's McDonald's meal comes with a free McFlurry and a Big Mac that has no pickles.

Whether the meal will be loved or bashed as another marketing gimmick, it ultimately proves that Balvin’s popularity is still rising.
