Thursday former F.B.I. Director James Comey will appear before Congress to testify on his dealings with President Donald Trump and possible obstruction of Justice in investigations of Trump’s dealings with Russia. Sitting down you might not notice it, but walking in and walking out you will see the man is tall — as in NBA-Finals-starting-lineup tall.

Comey stands at an impressive 6 feet 8 inches. That's the same height as Lebron James, whose Cleveland Cavaliers are battling the Golden State Warriors right now in the NBA finals. In terms of height, Comey would fit right in. He’s taller than Cavs starting guard Kyrie Irving by a full five inches. Comey tops the Cavs' other guard, JR Smith, by two inches.

According to an interview with the college paper of his alma mater William and Mary, Comey played intramural basketball in college. Comey, however, said that he would not play ball with former President Barack Obama for fear of any appearance that he was personally close with the man he was supposed to be independent of. For the record, Barack Obama stood at 6 feet 1 inch.

Comey’s son Brien played basketball at Kenyon College up until last year when he graduated, and he is also 6 feet 8 inches.
