Rotten Tomatoes recently shared a list of DC Extended Universe (DCEU) movies to explain the timeline. However, they mistakenly featured the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy" title in that list.

This mistake has not gone down well with director James Gunn, who was quick to take a dig at the list.

Gunn reposted Rotten Tomatoes's tweet on Wednesday, and wrote, "I’m surprised Guardians is after Birds of Prey in the DCEU timeline."

The comment came after the DCEU timeline featured a poster of Gunn's recently released TV series, "Peacemaker," but the title was written "Guardians of the Galaxy."

Rotten Tomatoes is a popular review-aggregation website that features a database of movies, series and television programs.

Following the goof up, actor Lenny Jacobson, who featured in the "Peacemaker" series as Evan, took to the comment section to joke if he could add the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie into his portfolio. "Does that mean I can put Guardians on my resume??!? Nice!" he wrote.

A fan even cropped out the specific part of the timeline where the mistake was made to explain the blunder to a social media user, who requested elaboration.

Gunn's comment didn't go down well with everyone, as a user wrote the poster was enough to understand the movie's name and the title doesn't really matter. However, a fan defended Gunn's comment.

"I did look at it but didn’t notice the names below any of the posters, let alone the fact that Peacemaker had been mislabeled," another fan replied to this user. "I guess my eyes zoomed into the posters? I’d assume the same thing happened to this guy."

The 55-year-old director dropped "Peacemaker" last month on HBO Max. The director also helmed the "Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise.

The first installment of the movie was released in 2014, while the second installment was dropped in 2017. Gunn is currently working on the last installment of the franchise, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," which is slated to release on May 23, next year.

The director will also release a TV series, "titled The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special," this December.
