“Jane the Virgin” is on tonight, but it won’t be a new episode. The CW has decided to air a rerun of the telenovela on Wednesday, July 3.

Luckily, it’s a short hiatus. The CW and many other networks are delaying new episodes of TV this week due to the holiday. While fans can feel free to attend the fireworks displays tonight, they should plan to be in front of the TV next week.

“Jane the Virgin” Season 5, episode 15 airs Wednesday, July 10 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW. That will be the beginning of the end. Once it returns, there will be no more weeks off until the series finale airs on July 31.

Episode 15 sounds like it’ll return the focus to Jane’s (Gina Rodriguez) writing career. She felt betrayed earlier this season when Rogelio (Jaime Camil) revealed that he told the publisher he’d pay for 10,000 copies if the book didn’t sell. Though Jane has forgiven her dad, she’ll want to be legitimately published this time.

“After Jane is struck with inspiration for her book, she immediately begins to write, but her next challenge is to get an agent,” the synopsis for episode 15 teases.

The search might be tough, though. The promo video for next week’s “Jane the Virgin” shows her asking her dad for a pep talk. Unfortunately, he isn’t much help.

Elsewhere, it sounds like Rogelio is considering a career change. “Rogelio has been so focused on being the star, he begins to contemplate taking on a different role instead,” the logline reads.

Of course, there’s a little family drama too. With Jane and Raphael (Justin Baldoni) set to get married, Jane wants to get to know the twins better. After all, she is about to be their stepmother. “Meanwhile, Jane thinks it’s important to build a different relationship with the twins and turns to Petra (Yael Grobglas) for some guidance,” the synopsis reveals.

“Jane the Virgin” returns to The CW next week.
