Pretty Little Liars
TV highlights for the month of January include the Season 6B premiere of "Pretty Little Liars," starring (L-R) Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, Troian Bellisario, Lucy Hale and Sasha Pieterse. Freeform

New year, new TV! January is coming in hot with midseason premieres, new TV shows and season premieres of your old favorites.

Highlights this month include the Freeform return of “Pretty Little Liars,” which went on hiatus this summer. Although it’s only been a couple months since fans last saw the girls, the series will jump ahead five years to show how much has changed since “A” was placed behind bars. Meanwhile, supernatural lovers won’t want to miss the premiere of “The X-Files” reboot on Fox. Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are back for a six-episode miniseries that will tackle much more than extraterrestrial life.
