Jenna Bush Hager raised eyebrows among viewers of Wednesday's episode of the "Today" show when she appeared to get a little too close for comfort despite Justin Sylvester's efforts to keep her at arms' length.

In a clip of a cooking segment obtained by Page Six, Bush Hager can be seen patting Sylvester's back and putting one arm around his shoulders as he was receiving instructions from a chef for making chicken.

Sylvester attempted to lean out of the way, but Bush Hager continued to stick close to him. The "Daily Pop" star eventually used one arm to push her away.

When Bush Hager continued to touch Sylvester's back, he pushed her out of the way once more.

"Today" show viewers took to social media to slam Bush Hager's actions, claiming she was invading Sylvester's personal space. Instagram account The Shaderoom shared some screenshots of viewers' responses.

"This is not okay. She blatantly ignored his 'no,' violating his personal space and repeatedly touching him," Adrienne Lawrence, author and host of The Young Turks' "Overruled," tweeted. "Jenna Bush needs a suspension, at minimum."

"Jenna Bush was way too handsy with @HodaAndJenna contributor, Justin Sylvester. This is the daughter of a former president sexually harassing her coworker in the workplace, on TV. She should be suspended or fired. Full stop!" another added.

"Damn! What was going on here with Jenna Bush and the way she just felt entitled to invade her Black co-host's body," another posted.

"She just wouldn't stop. Some people just don't like to be touched. Anyway, if a man did that to a woman, he'd be fired. Cancel Jenna Bush Hager," a fourth user wrote.

Another user claimed that Bush Hager needed to be suspended for at least 10 days, pointing to Whoopi Goldberg's two-week suspension from "The View" earlier this year for her Holocaust remarks.

However, Sylvester, who is a regular contributor to the "Today" show, often appearing alongside Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb, clarified Friday that his co-star, whom he described as the "nicest" person, was not "invading" his space.

He explained why Bush Hager kept sticking close to him and why he pushed her away.

"That's not actually the truth," Sylvester said in an Instagram Story video, according to Page Six. "What we were doing was we were both flirting. Well, I was flirting with the chef because he was cute, and I was pushing her out of the way so I could have a one-on-one moment with the chef."

Later in Wednesday's episode, Sylvester and Bush Hager discussed his St. Tropez, France, vacation photos, which he shared on Instagram.

"That thirst trap is looking, like, perfect," the former first daughter — who has been married to Henry Chase Hager since 2008 — told Sylvester. "You look like you belong in St. Tropez."
