Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s divorce was due to several factors, not Angelina Jolie.

In July 2000, Pitt and Aniston sealed their love with a romantic wedding in Malibu. However, after five years, the couple announced their split. Just months after their announcement, their divorce was finalized.

According to Mirror, there was a lot of factors why the “Murder Mystery” actress and “Ad Astra” star parted ways and Angelina Jolie was not to blame because long before she came into the picture there was already trouble in paradise.

Pitt was reportedly “wasting his life.” He was becoming dull and got burnt out that he was wasting opportunities. Aniston admitted that she was aware of her ex-husband’s cracks.

“Those moments where it looks like 'Uh-oh, this isn't working!' — those are the most important, transformative moments,” she said.

Also, they couldn’t agree with having kids. Expanding their family wasn’t a priority but the “Cake” star was reportedly keen on having kids. Aniston found herself getting a divorce on the same year she hoped to have children.

In addition, the couple was on too much pressure. They were separately dubbed as “the sexiest man alive“ and “America’s sweetheart.” Every move they did was scrutinized and the public wanted them to have babies, too. Furthermore, both were busy with their careers and couldn’t be there for each other. Pitt also admitted to drug abuse at the time.

Pitt and Jolie met on the set of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” When Aniston and Pitt announced that they were parting ways, they said that “no one is to blame” for the separation, but he raised eyebrows when he was seen frolicking on a beach with the “Maleficent” star shortly after their breakup was publicized. Many were convinced that Pitt and Jolie had an affair.

Aniston and Pitt said in their announcement that they remained committed and caring to each other. However, after seeing Pitt’s photos with Jolie and son Maddox a month after she filed for divorce, Aniston admitted that she didn’t expect it.

“The world was shocked, and I was shocked,” Aniston said.

Pitt and Aniston went on to marry their second spouses, Jolie and Justin Theroux, respectively. However, their second marriages also didn’t work.
